Jani Golob (born 18 January 1948 in Ljubljana) is a Slovenian composer, conductor and violinist. From 1998, he has been professor of music composition and theory at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana (from 1998).[1]

Golob has composed operas, ballets, orchestral works, chamber and vocal music,[1] as well as numerous Slovenian film scores[2] and music for advertising purposes.

His internationally best-known piece of work is the "Slow Motion Theme" (1997), played in replay ski jumps for the Planica annual FIS Ski Jumping World Cup competition.

His other hit songs are "Prisluhni školjki" (1985), "(Slovenija) Moja dežela" (1986) and "Pustite nam ta svet" (1987), popular specially in Slovenia.
